Pomodoro

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Use Bacleo's Pomodoro timer to alternate focused study with breaks. Set session durations and build a routine around your revision.

Focus, then take a break

Pomodoro helps you alternate a period of focused work with a short break. It gives your session a clear rhythm when a large amount of revision feels hard to start.

A common starting point is 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of rest. These are suggestions, not a rule: adjust the durations to your task and attention.

Start your first session

Choose what you will work on before starting the timer.

  1. Set your focus duration and your short and long break durations.
  2. Choose one small task, such as reviewing a section of a lesson, then start the focus timer.
  3. When the focus period ends, take a break. Before the next period, decide whether to continue the task or begin another.

Adjust the timer to your work

Use the focus, short break and long break modes for the stage you are in. Pause when you need to interrupt your session, or reset when you want to begin again.

You can keep the timer in quick access while using other study material, or use fullscreen for a simpler display. The task list helps you keep your current goal close to the timer.

Make a useful focus goal

Instead of “finish the whole chapter”, try “read this section and write a short explanation without looking”. A small goal makes it easier to know whether the session helped.

Use the break to step away from your work. If you regularly stop before the timer ends, try a shorter focus period. If a task needs uninterrupted thinking, choose a longer period that suits you.

Account features and practical notes

You can explore the Pomodoro tool without an account. Sign in for account features and personal study tracking; saved data and tool limits depend on the feature and your plan.

Keep Bacleo available while timing your session. Browser notifications or sounds can depend on your device settings, so check the timer itself when you need to know whether a period has ended.
