Terms of Service

Bacleo is a trilingual (Arabic, French, English) study platform built around the Moroccan national curriculum, from the first year of collège (middle school) through the second year of Baccalauréat. The Service includes a library of study materials, an AI study assistant called Celo, productivity tools such as Pomodoro timers and task management, AI-generated study aids such as quizzes, summaries, and slides, and related features.

Bacleo is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Moroccan Ministry of National Education, AlloSchool, Moutamadris, or any school, examination board, or government body, unless explicitly stated otherwise on the Service.

Bacleo is designed for students roughly between the ages of 10 and 19. The Service does not contain adult content of any kind and is built exclusively for educational use.

If you are under the age of 18, you may only use Bacleo with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account for a user under 18, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on that user's behalf and takes responsibility for their use of the Service. Bacleo does not independently verify age or guardian consent at signup, and parents or guardians are responsible for supervising account use by minors in their care.

Bacleo is not directed at children under the age of 10, and we do not knowingly permit registration by anyone below that age. If you believe a child under 10 has created an account, contact us using the details in Section 14 so we can remove it.

To use most features of Bacleo, you must create an account using a username and email address, or by signing in through a supported third-party provider (currently Google or Facebook). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

Bacleo offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers, currently priced at $2.99 and $7.99, billed at the interval you select. We also offer the option to prepay for multiple months (1 to 6 months) in a single payment at checkout.

All payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. Bacleo does not collect or store your payment card details directly; that information is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under its own terms and privacy policy.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by applicable consumer protection law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial or unused portions of a billing period, and including multi-month prepayments where you stop using the Service partway through the prepaid period.

We may change subscription pricing going forward. If a price change affects an active subscription, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect on your next renewal.

The underlying educational content made available through Bacleo, including textbook materials, exercises, corrections, and similar curriculum content, reflects Morocco's public national curriculum and was originally created by the Moroccan Ministry of National Education, individual teachers, and other educational contributors. Bacleo does not claim ownership of this underlying curriculum content. All rights to that material remain with its original creators and rights holders.

What Bacleo owns and licenses to you is the Service itself: the platform, design, software, organization of materials, the Celo AI assistant, and any original tools, summaries, quizzes, or other materials generated specifically by Bacleo's own systems for your use.

You may use the content made available through Bacleo for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not copy, redistribute, republish, scrape, resell, or otherwise share Bacleo's organized library, AI-generated materials, or any substantial portion of the Service outside of the Service itself.

If you believe content available through Bacleo infringes your rights as a content creator or rights holder, contact us at the email in Section 14 with details, and we will review and respond appropriately, including removal where warranted.

Cleo and Bacleo's other AI-powered features (including AI-generated quizzes, summaries, and slides) use automated systems to generate study content. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content can contain mistakes, omissions, or outdated information, and should not be treated as an official or guaranteed source for exam preparation. You are responsible for verifying important information against official curriculum materials, your teachers, or official examination authorities before relying on it for graded work or exams.

Bacleo is not responsible for academic outcomes, exam results, or grades, whether or not they relate to your use of AI-generated content on the Service.

When using Bacleo, you agree not to:

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or to Bacleo's systems, infrastructure, or non-public areas of the Service.

Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Service at scale.

Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes another party's rights.

Interfere with or disrupt the proper functioning of the Service, including through attempts to overload, hack, or reverse-engineer it.

Use the Service for any purpose other than personal educational use.

Submit false, misleading, or abusive messages through the contact form, or attempt to flood or automate submissions to it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

The contact form is provided for genuine inquiries only. To protect the Service from abuse, submissions are subject to automated spam detection and rate limiting. Technical metadata is collected automatically with each submission solely for this purpose, as described in our Privacy Policy. Submissions identified as abusive may be flagged and disregarded, and repeated abuse may result in your access to the contact form being restricted.

Bacleo relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate, including but not limited to Firebase (authentication and data), Cloudflare and Cloudflare R2 (content delivery and storage), Vercel (hosting and performance monitoring), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing), and Loops.so (email communications). Your use of features tied to these providers may also be subject to their own terms, where applicable. Bacleo is not responsible for outages, errors, or issues originating from these third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to address their impact on the Service.

You may stop using Bacleo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service or a feature of it. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice before terminating an account for cause.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate, and we do not guarantee any particular academic result from using it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bacleo and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or academic outcome, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as an in-app notification or update to this page, before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Morocco.
