Check calculations as you study
Bacleo's Calculator brings standard arithmetic, scientific functions and dedicated unit conversions into your study space. Use it to check a value after setting up your exercise.
The calculator gives a result, but your written steps explain why that result makes sense. Keep the formula, substitutions and units in your notes.
Make your first calculation
Choose the tool and settings that match the calculation.
- Open the standard or scientific calculator, or choose the conversion tool you need.
- Enter your expression or values. Check brackets, signs and any selected units or angle mode.
- Calculate the result and compare it with your written solution. If it looks unexpected, check the input before continuing.
Scientific functions and conversions
Scientific mode includes powers, roots, logarithms and trigonometric functions. Pay attention to the angle mode when working with trigonometry: degrees and radians describe angles differently.
For a conversion, choose the starting unit and the target unit before entering the value. Converting a length is different from converting an area or a volume, so choose the matching tool.
Use the result to check your reasoning
For a multi-step exercise, calculate one intermediate value at a time. Keep enough precision while working and round the final answer according to your exercise instructions.
A result that looks wrong is a reason to check your setup: the formula, a missing bracket, a negative sign or the units. Do not replace your reasoning with an unexplained number.
Access and limits
The Calculator is a public tool you can open without signing in. You do not need to send your exercise to Cleo to use the calculator's own controls.
This study tool does not determine which calculators are allowed in your exam. Follow your teacher's instructions and the rules for the assessment you are preparing for.
