Practise recalling one idea at a time
The Flashcards Generator uses Cleo to turn a topic or supported notes into question-and-answer cards. Use them for short facts, definitions, formulas, dates or vocabulary.
A useful card asks one clear question. Long explanations and multi-step exercises are usually easier to study in your lesson notes or through guided practice.
Create your first card set
Start with one lesson and the information you want to remember.
- Describe your topic and level, or add supported study notes or attachments.
- Choose the available card preferences and generate your set. Check that the cards match your lesson.
- Read a question, try to recall its answer, then flip the card to check. Spend more time on the cards you find difficult.
Keep cards focused
Ask for a small set on a precise topic rather than every idea in a subject. This makes it easier to notice missing information or an answer that needs correction.
Read each generated answer against your notes. If a card is ambiguous, too long or inaccurate, clarify the topic or source material before creating another set.
Review without just rereading
Pause before flipping each card. Say or write the answer from memory, even if you are not completely sure, then compare it with the card.
Revisit difficult cards in later study sessions. For a formula, also practise an exercise that uses it: remembering the formula and knowing when to apply it are different skills.
Your account and generated content
Sign in to use the Flashcards Generator in your personal study space. Creating a set uses your available Cleo allowance, and available capabilities depend on your plan.
Cleo can generate incorrect or incomplete cards. Check them against your course, especially before an exam, and avoid treating a generated set as the whole lesson.
